Emp-OUR Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization striving towards a future with equitable health for all parties through actively learning from and supporting underinvested communities. We aim to strengthen community health through democratizing health knowledge, engaging with community leaders to identify issues in need of addressing, and empowering underserved communities with culturally informed solutions.
As our name indicates, we believe in the transformative power of communities. Through collaborating with community partners and creating community-based health programming, we aim to promote not only physical health but also mental and social health.
Our programming focuses on the social determinants of health to address the root causes of health inequities. With our efforts and the resilience of the communities we serve, we are determined to see a future where health is not determined by race, zip code, or income.
Our mission is to support underserved communities in creating a future with equal opportunities for health promotion and illness prevention for all.
